Terms and Conditions of Service

MA Installations - Flooring Installation Services

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between MA Installations ("we", "us", "our") and the customer ("you", "your") regarding the installation services provided by us. By requesting or booking installation services from MA Installations, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services Provided

We provide professional flooring installation services for clients who have purchased flooring from third-party suppliers. Our services include the installation of your flooring and any agreed-upon additional services such as uplifting and disposing of old flooring, door shaving/easing, and assisting with furniture. These services may incur additional charges if not agreed upon within the initial quote.

2. Flooring and Product Responsibility

  • We take no responsibility for any damage, incorrect flooring, or faulty products either before or after the installation, unless such issues are caused by our actions or negligence.

  • We recommend inspecting your flooring upon delivery to ensure it is correct and undamaged. Any issues with the product must be addressed directly with the third-party supplier before installation.

  • We will not be held liable for any damages to the skirting, including cracking, during the installation process.

  • We are not responsible for any paint scuffs caused by non-primed surfaces or minor paintwork damage due to the nature of the flooring installation process.

3. Additional Services & Charges

  • Uplifting & Disposal of Old Flooring: If agreed upon, we can uplift and dispose of your old flooring at an additional cost.

  • Door Shaving/Easing: We offer door shaving/easing services, which will be charged separately if requested.

  • Furniture Assistance: We can assist in moving furniture, but this will incur an additional fee. We will not take responsibility for any damage to your furniture unless caused by our negligence.

  • If any of these services are not agreed upon within the initial quote, they will be added to your final bill at the time of installation.

4. Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit of the total installation fee is required 7 days prior to the installation date. If installation is available within 7 days of booking a 75% deposit is required.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day of completion of the installation.

  • If full payment is not received on the day of completion, we reserve the right to withhold the installation or any remaining services.

5. Installation Date and Timing

  • While we will do our best to meet the agreed-upon time for your installation, please note that the times we provide are not definitive. Due to the nature of our services, we may arrive up to 3 hours earlier or later than the scheduled time.

  • We ask for your understanding as delays may occur, and we cannot guarantee an exact installation time.

6. Installation Date Guarantee

  • MA Installations Guarantee: If we cancel or change your installation date with less than 3 days' notice, we will carry out the installation free of charge.

  • Exclusions to Guarantee: The installation guarantee is void if:

    • Your product is damaged or delayed.

    • Your area is not ready for installation (e.g., if no furniture has been moved as agreed upon or if the room is not cleared).

    • If any delays or issues arise that are not due to our error, resulting in the installation not being finished, the installation will be rescheduled to the next available date.

  • We will not delay other customers to accommodate changes or delays caused by factors outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • While we take all necessary precautions to carry out the installation with care, we cannot be held responsible for any damage to surfaces, furnishings, or property unless caused by negligence on the part of our team.

  • We are not liable for any consequential losses resulting from the installation process or any delays.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you before the commencement of any future installation projects.
